Insolvency and Debt Recovery Services
KMO Legal has a unique and stress-free approach devoid of prolonged court litigation in assisting Banks, Financial Institutions and Multinational Companies to recover debts. This method which is fast and result-driven is unique to KMO Legal and tailored towards meeting client’s needs within the shortest possible time.

Property Searches and Due-Diligence Reporting Services
These services handled by the Land and Property Law Practice Group of the Firm, are primarily made available to banks and other financial Institutions which accept real property as collateral for the grant of loans and other credit facilities.

These Services are also available to high net-worth individuals, Government and Government Parastatals, who desire to verify the authenticity of their transactions.

The department conducts title searches on each property with the regulatory bodies to ensure there are no encumbrances to the acceptance of such collateral. Where there exist some concerns, a legal opinion is forwarded in addition to the search report advising on the best way to proceed with such transaction if at all.

The Department also provides legal drafting services and procuring of title documents in respect of landed property, registration of mortgages and general land documentation.

Secretarial Services
The firm’s Corporate Commercial Law Department handles secretarial obligations on behalf of companies. These include attending company meetings, producing minutes, keeping mandatory records, acting as a liaison with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

Employment and Labour Law Services
These services are handled by the Employment and Labour Law Department which drafts and/or updates client employment agreements, conduct searches on potential employees with the Police, Prisons Authority and EFCC on behalf of employers, particularly in respect of employees who would be engaged in sensitive positions.
